PSYCHOSIS AS A MANIFESTATION OF LUPUS AND ANTIPHOSPHOLIPID SYNDROME. ABOUT A CASE.

Introduction A lot of studies have determined the relationship between psychosis and autoimmune diseases. One classic examples is systemic lupus erythematosus antiphospholipid syndrome. Both are syndromes marked by a state excessive inflammation hypercoagulability, respectively. And frequent manifestation these two diseases, so it important to take into account, because psychotic episode triggered diseases has different therapeutic approach from that primary psychoses. Objectives To raise awareness about this fact, we present clinical case 43-year-old woman, diagnosed with syndrome, who went Emergency Department due agitation delusional ideation harm. Methods Given patient presented recent altered cranial MRI, aforementioned pathologies an acute poorly systematized onset, referred her for admission Internal Medicine suspicion psycho-organic syndrome probable origin. Results After Medicine, corticosteroid treatment was prescribed. three days, symptoms remitted discharged, starting outpatient follow-up.
